Tap Defense kept its lead on top spot on the list of top free applications for iPhone on iTunes. Tap Defense is a strategy game that keeps people playing for long hours because of its depth and challenge. When playing the game, you need to have a good plot to avoid frustration. Here are tips that should help you when playing the game.

More Useful Tower Types

Think about what type of tower to use because some types of towers just take space and are not that effective. On the first level, think of using arrows, water, or bomb towers. Arrows are the cheapest and has quite a bit of resistance from creatures including the Devil. Water slows down the creatures. Bomb has the least resistance from creatures, and storm and ice are quite resisted but not as much as arrow and water.

Expand

Always keep in mind that you may want to diversify your tower weapons. Expanding your towers can reduce any creature that may limit your towers’ resistance. If you will only use bombs then a creature that has a full resistance to bombs can destroy it. Make sure to use two or three types that are effective.

Keep Them

Don’t sell some towers when you want to build others. In the first place, you made a strategic plan from the very beginning. Monetary amount is not that necessary. Work on your strategic plan from the start and keep it all throughout the game.

Cover Two Zones

Strategically place your towers where you can “kill two birds at the same time”. The best thing to do is place the towers in between two parts of the road. This will hit creatures on both surfaces covering two zones. It is also necessary to place some towers in remote areas. This will make towers more effective because they can focus on certain creatures at one time.

Always Spend At the Beginning

Every time you start playing the game, keep in mind that it’s best to spend money at the beginning of a level and never at the end. The reason for this is that you become fascinated at each level and your aim is to end each level with as much money as you can. Also, use your “halos” to have higher interest rate for your gold rather than using all types of towers. This will help you build more towers and upgrade them later, which is more strategic. You can use the magic tower but the only effective tower aside from this is the earthquake tower, which is too expensive.

Upgrade in All Locations

It’s better to upgrade the towers in central locations that are covering more than one zone. Having larger coverage is great and keep in mind that each tower is important. Upgrade your arrow towers as much as you can. Note that the first upgrade of the Magic tower is cheaper than the second time.

Levels 29 and 30

It is very important to strengthen your defenses before playing Levels 29 and 30. These levels are some of the most difficult ones and it would be better to save money prior to level 29 so that you can build and upgrade before playing it.
